About our De-Group Facility

C. Steinweg Logistics de-group warehouse provides bonded and free-store options, security while under clearance, as well as a host of value-added services, and is conveniently situated near O. R. Tambo International airport, Southern Africa’s gateway to the world.

Our team can remove cargo from the airline ground handler within hours of flight arrival, which decreases the risk of theft, reduces storage costs, and has the key advantage of quicker cargo availability due to drawing at “off-peak” hours. Our clients’ valuable cargo is then subjected to a detailed receiving process, which decreases the time frame to identify discrepancies, and mitigates risk.

Registered as a ‘Part 108’ regulated agent, we screen all cargo in-house before handover to the airline, and our AVSEC certification allows us to conduct sniffer dog searches at our transit facility.
Our capabilities include preparation of cargo for re-distribution, and our services comprise splitting, merging, labeling (and re-labeling), kitting, and packaging of goods following airline-approved requirements.
